A Partner Commercial & Municipal Clients Can Count On
American Leak Detection of Greater Atlanta has been innovating in leak detection since 1974, developing tools and methods for over 50 years to make detection faster, more accurate, and far less disruptive than traditional approaches. For commercial clients and government officials making decisions that affect budgets and public infrastructure, that track record matters. Our technicians arrive on time, complete projects within the given time frame and leave the premises clean after finishing the job. They’re trained, licensed, and insured professionals, and American Leak Detection of Greater Atlanta is pre-approved with top insurers, supporting claims and coverage coordination when leaks intersect with insurance processes.
Commercial Leak Detection Services in Cumming
Commercial plumbing systems involve layered complexity: large-diameter supply lines, multiple sewer connections, gas lines, and infrastructure embedded in slabs or behind finished walls. Our technicians handle leak detection across a wide range of commercial properties, from office complexes and retail storefronts to industrial facilities, healthcare institutions, and apartment buildings.
Our commercial service categories include:
- Plumbing: Leak detection, sewer camera inspection, slab leak detection, sewer odor detection, and smoke testing
- Pools, Spas & Fountains: Detection for commercial aquatic features and decorative water systems
- Cause & Origin / “Mystery Leaks”: Tracing leaks with no obvious source
- Other Services: Irrigation systems and infrared leak detection
- Utility Line Location: Identifying underground utility lines before excavation or construction
Municipal Water Distribution & Water Purveyor Services
For government officials and water purveyors managing public infrastructure, undetected leaks in water distribution systems create compounding problems. Our municipal services cover mainline and fire line leak detection, full leak surveys, and direct service to water purveyors working to maintain system integrity.
Non-invasive detection can reduce the risk that mainline leaks siphon in contaminated groundwater. Prompt detection can also cut non-revenue water loss and limit damage to streets and underground utilities, reducing liability exposure for municipalities. Forsyth County government facilities and utility departments can count on our team to arrive prepared, work efficiently, and document findings clearly.
Serving Cumming During a Period of Rapid Infrastructure Growth
Forsyth County is served by two distinct water providers: Forsyth County Water & Sewer, whose engineering division handles system planning, utility locates, and asset management, and Cumming Utilities, which serves the city proper. Both organizations operate under increasing demand. Cumming and Forsyth County have ranked among the fastest-growing regions in the nation for many consecutive years, putting sustained pressure on water and sewer infrastructure built for a much smaller population.
That growth makes proactive leak detection a practical priority rather than a reactive expense. Identifying distribution losses and underground utility leaks early helps keep systems performing at capacity and helps protect the infrastructure investments communities depend on.

Our “Know Before You Go” approach means you receive honest, upfront pricing with no surprises when the invoice arrives. Call (770) 741-2534 to discuss your property’s needs and get a clear picture of what detection can involve before our team arrives on site.

“Jim came on two different leak situations. The first time was an absolute ludicrous leak that the water company said has used 400,000 gallons of water in 1 month. So they turned our water off. Jim resolved that issue and worked with our insurance company and it was very smooth going. They spotted the leak and it was fixed and then noticed another area that might be a problem, but no water leaking. They warned us of this area. Five months later we noticed a bill that was going up. Sure enough, we called Jim again and out he came and found the leak and it was under a sink and pinpointed that leak and it was resolved immediately. Jim is such a nice person and so easy to talk with and communicate with when a woman is all but looney with NO WATER. And, a second leak. All was a very good experience with such a monumental leak.”- Phyllis M.
