Leak Detection Without Destruction™ Before Targeted Pool Repairs

When you need a pool leak repair company in Evans, finding the source of the water loss comes first. We assess the pool shell, plumbing, skimmer, fittings, lights, main drain, and equipment connections so the repair addresses the identified failure rather than an assumed problem.

Recurring water loss can increase chemical use, require constant topping-off, and damage the pool or surrounding property. We distinguish potential leakage from evaporation, then determine whether the problem involves the structure, plumbing, or equipment system.

Request Evans Pool Leak Repair by calling (706) 963-1472. We can assess persistent water loss and identify the appropriate next step.

Why Precise Detection Matters Before Pool Repair

American Leak Detection of Greater Augusta is backed by a brand that has operated since 1974. We follow the Leak Detection Without Destruction™ principle, using proprietary non-invasive methods and diagnostic equipment to narrow down hidden leaks before selecting a repair access point.

Pressure testing can isolate a compromised pool plumbing line, while acoustic listening can identify sounds associated with escaping water. Specialized dye testing may reveal leaks around shell cracks, fittings, skimmers, pool lights, and other penetrations. This methodical approach can help limit unnecessary disturbance to the pool deck, landscaping, or shell.

Repairs carried out by our team carry a 2-year guarantee.

From Pool Leak Detection to Targeted Repair

Detection confirms where water is escaping. Repair addresses the pipe, fitting, skimmer, shell, or related component responsible for the loss. We connect these stages through A Forensic Approach to Detection and Repair.

Our repair categories include:

Underground Pipe Repair: Repairing an identified failure in buried pool plumbing, including compromised PVC lines.
Skimmer Replacement: Replacing a failed skimmer when investigation confirms it as the source.
Structural Injection: Addressing qualifying cracks or structural leak points in the pool shell.
Fitting Repairs: Repairing leaks involving return fittings, jets, or other identified connections.

The repair plan depends on the failed component, its location, the required access, and the surrounding surface. Once we identify the problem, we explain the proposed work and provide Know Before You Go pricing before repair begins.

Schedule a Pool Repair Assessment in Evans

Request a service call when the water level keeps dropping, the source remains unclear, or a known leak requires a targeted repair. We can evaluate the system and explain whether detection, repair, or both are appropriate.

Our process connects a precise diagnosis with clear recommendations and a repair plan designed to limit unnecessary disturbance around the pool.

When Persistent Water Loss Needs Professional Attention

Water loss that continues after changes in weather and evaporation have been considered may warrant a professional assessment. Repeated topping-off can also dilute pool chemicals and add to routine maintenance.

Signs to watch for include:

A water level that repeatedly falls beyond expected evaporation.
Soft, wet, or unusually green ground near the pool.
Air bubbles coming from return jets.
A pump that has trouble maintaining its prime.
Loose or shifting tile around the waterline.
Cracks or movement in the surrounding pool deck.
Pool equipment showing signs of unusual strain.

Clay soil found across parts of Columbia County can expand and contract through wet and dry cycles. Combined with heavy thunderstorms, that movement can make underground plumbing problems difficult to recognize before changes appear at the surface.

Pool, Spa & Fountain Systems We Assess

Our service scope includes in-ground and above-ground pools, attached and freestanding spas, architectural fountains, landscape-integrated fountains, grottos, and water walls. We provide Pool, Spa & Fountain Leak Detection and Pool, Spa & Fountain Leak Repair for problems involving plumbing lines, shells, skimmers, main drains, return fittings, lights, and related components.

Each system has distinct potential failure points. An attached spa may share plumbing with the pool, while a freestanding fountain or water wall may have separate lines, fittings, and structural penetrations. We match the investigation method to the system and suspected leak location.

Common Questions About Pool Leak Assessment

How Can I Tell Whether My Pool Is Losing Water from a Leak or Normal Evaporation?

The Bucket Test is a reliable starting point. Fill a bucket with pool water, mark the water levels inside and outside the bucket, and compare them after 24 to 48 hours. If the pool loses more water than the bucket, a leak is likely. Persistent drops that continue regardless of weather conditions are another reason to schedule a professional assessment.

Will the Pool Need to Be Drained Before Leak Detection or Repair?

The pool doesn’t always need to be drained before leak detection. The water level, suspected location, pool construction, and repair method determine whether partial or complete draining is necessary. We explain any draining requirements after narrowing down the source.

Can a Leak Under a Concrete Pool Deck Be Located Before the Deck Is Opened?

Leaks beneath a concrete pool deck can often be investigated before the surface is opened. Pressure testing and acoustic listening help narrow the affected area, allowing any required access to be planned around the confirmed location rather than random excavation.

"Wow, saved the day!"
“These folks were excellent. I had just had my pool completely refurbished: new deck, new liner, new pumps, new privacy fence--a complete redo; but, we had a leak after all of the work. It looked like we were going to have to break up the new concrete and deck treatment (then have a miss match on the surface), but Leak Detection saved the day. Found leaks in the step jacuzzi jets (not the plumbing) and in the light. Wow, saved the day. Thanks, Leak Detection Team. I will highly recommend you!”
